Overcoming the Fear of the Blank Page with Matt Madden
November 8 @ 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm EST

Are you intimidated by the blank page? Do you feel like you need to wait for inspiration to strike before you can create art? Or are you just feeling stuck in a creative rut?
Join cartoonist and teacher Matt Madden for this workshop on overcoming the fear of the blank page.
Matt Madden is a cartoonist, teacher, and translator known for his playful experiments with comics form, a practice that led Ed Park of The New York Times to dub him, “the stuntman-philosopher of American comics.” He is known for his recent graphic novel, Ex Libris, and for his book 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style, a comics adaptation of Raymond Queneau’s Exercises in Style. He has been living in Philadelphia with family since 2016.
We love it when people submit events in the kidlit comics community.
