Indiana SCBWI: Graphic Novel 101
June 25, 2022 @ 9:00 am – 2:15 pm UTC

Our previous graphic novel conference was such a roaring success that we wanted to do it again. Based on the feedback from attendees, we determined that there are many people who want a “start with the basics” conference where they are guided through the how of creating kid lit graphic novels.
We’re so pleased to find four amazing presenters for what will be a graphic novel masterclass: agent Janna Morishima, author-illustrator Rivkah LaFille, illustrator-designer Sylvia Bi, and editor Rachel Sonis! Plus, agent Alexandra Weiss will be critiques-only faculty! Complete faculty bios are found on this page.
If you want to understand the nitty-gritties of getting started with GNs, you won’t want to miss this event! Even if you think you might already know how to write GNs, this conference will be a good refresher, AND you could sign up for a written critique (or more than one) with Rivkah, Sylvia, or Alexandra.
And, yes! There will be door prizes!
