Brought back together by the death of a childhood friend, a gang of former kid sleuths revisit the seemingly-simple mysteries of their childhoods, after realizing that they were never fully solved.
The once-close crew are now teens, and their classic group dynamic has changed dramatically since they parted ways. The newly reacquainted gang must find out what actually happened all those years ago, and more importantly figure out how to stop it from happening again.

200-250My Why:
Something I wished I had truly understood in my teens is that I will change throughout my life. Who I was at 18 is definitely not who I am now, thankfully.
A central theme of this story is embracing and accepting change. This also includes reflecting on the consequences of the past, and the impact we may have had on others. Just like the stars, we're always growing, burning, and changing.
The main cast are outlets for my teenage struggles: The repercussions of being labelled as a "gifted child". Feeling culturally disconnected from my heritage for not being "latina" enough. Feeling uncomfortable with my body and relationship to food. And the feeling of being in limbo with changes from gender exploration and sexual orientation.
