A Great Big Alien Wedding.
RITCHIE KAUR and CHRIS BYWATER couldn’t be more different.
One is bullied for his nerdiness. The other praised for his popularity.
But when a chance encounter with an alien king wanting to retire threatens humanity, Ritchie offers Chris as the perfect match for his unmarried daughter, PRINCESS ALARRA, and agrees to arrange a wedding for peace.
Though, things don’t go to plan when Ritchie and Chris begin falling for each other.
Meanwhile, Alarra is a lover of all things humankind – not their boys. And upon noticing Ritchie and Chris’s growing attraction, she soon steps into the shoes of matchmaker, stops the invasion and proves herself ready for queendom without needing a king.
Heartstopper meets Lilo & Stitch in this chaotic queer comedy.

In every story, there is always that one character delegated to the “sidekick”. The third-wheeler who’s only role is to help rope in the two main love interests whilst they remain on the sidelines quietly pondering the: what if? Growing up, this always irked me. Why can’t this character get their happy ending? Where is their love story? Why can’t the Nerd get the Jock? I wrote this book in honour of that character, to allow him to be the hero and break down the walls we label stereotypes.
This story is also a love letter to my own coming out, navigating internalised homophobia as a mixed-race lesbian torn between two worlds – though, no aliens were involved!

Hi! I’m Saneeta Ram, but you can call me Nee for short. I’m a self-taught cartoonist and comic creator who fell into storytelling later on in life. Inspired by Disney and Anime, I enjoy writing stories where characters find themselves in fantastical predicaments, and those left on sidelines get their time in the spotlight. I have a sequel in the works, as well as two original stories being developed.
You can find my work online on my subreddit: r/justboyfriendthings, where I post weekly comics.
