It's Alright, Starlight!
Mimi has always been labeled as wild and 'The Weird Kid', never feeling like she belonged anywhere. When Mimi and her best friend Elodie get transported to a fantastical dimension via an old broken down vending machine in the woods, they meet a strange prince in need of their assistance in saving his kingdom from dark forces. Danger and broken trust begins to crack the bond between Mimi and Elodie as Mimi refuses to return home, but Elodie wont give up on her best friend. She will destroy the kingdom herself if she has to.
In this Brave Story meets Catnapped adventure of self discovery, 'It's Alright, Starlight!' is a heartwarming and emotional tale of two best friends challenged by outside forces and the desperate need to belong.

Since I was a child with undiagnosed ADHD, I've always had a hard time fitting in and making friends, so I would always draw myself my own friends. I never saw kids that looked like me having adventures in media growing up, and I want kids and young adults that feel excluded to see themselves in my stories, befriend my characters, and know that their life can also be an adventure filled with magic! I want them to know that it's okay to feel your emotions and to see how empathy can change how you see the world and yourself. I'm still learning about myself every day as an adult, and through art, the process of learning touches my heart.
I just want everyone to know this: It's okay to be you, and you are loved very deeply.
