Forget-Me-Not
When tween witch Delilah’s ADHD quirks provoke her best—and only—friend into ghosting her the summer before sixth grade at the Pacific Northwest Arcana Academy, her desperate attempt to salvage their unraveling relationship is a magic potion dud. As if things couldn’t get worse, she managed to provoke a vengeful sprite who is determined to wreak havoc through escalating magical pranks including a mortifying levitating fart, and even a full blown classroom blizzard. Delilah’s first day of middle school just might be completely jinxed unless she can make a new friend amidst the chaos.
FORGET-ME-NOT blends the emotional friendship rollercoaster of Ormsbee’s GROWING PANGS and the magical mischief of Pico’s ASTER AND THE ACCIDENTAL MAGIC.

Friendship has been tricky throughout my life with the first scars formed in middle school. As the awkward one in groups, I bounced between talking too much or not enough. I never fully understood when I was breaking social norms and foolishly thought I had made true friends at the beginning of each school year. However, by the last day of each school year, those new friends ditched me. The pattern was consistent.
Being diagnosed with ADHD and Autism in my thirties brought clarity and healing. Plenty of stories focus on the strength and benefits of friendship, but few focus on the devastating loss when a friendship ends. I wish my younger self had a book like this to normalize the experience with a sprinkle of humor and a dash of magic.
