Pan
Pan is a middle grade fantasy adventure story that follows Robyn Hood as she tries to help Peter Pan get home. The clock is ticking as Pan is getting younger everyday. As they leave Sherwood forest, the Sheriff of Nottingham tries to stop them. Pan uses his “Play” power to resolve conflicts instead of violence. “Play” manifests as a challenge between two parties such as a cook off or battle of the bands. They must do this to avoid attention from the King’s Armada. Thus an epic cook off ensues. Robyn’s bacon egg cheese biscuits narrowly beat the Sheriff’s buttermilk pancakes. Shortly after they leave. Hook shows up hot on their trail.

I grew up reading everything from Calvin and Hobbes, to Bone, to Naruto. Pan is my attempt to funnel all my passions into a story that highlights the abilities of sequential storytelling to capture a young reader's imagination. Following loveable but flawed characters. I also created the story to highlight the strengths of comics as a medium. Such as the ability to go from a frenetic cooking sequence to a page showcasing the actual recipe the reader can cook. Or including a page showing the tablature for a battle of the bands so the reader can strum along. Graphic novels can entertain and educate simultaneously
