Justice Unlimited Elementary
Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants meets Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia in this hybrid chapter book/graphic novel about three 3rd graders, surviving a typical day at a school for kids with superpowers! For decades there were epic battles between adults with superpowers or "Wonders", but finally, the fighting stopped and there was peace. Now it's time for their kids stories. Brick, Crayon, and Paste will be faced with the likes of Super Hero history class, a dodgeball-induced, super rumble in the gym, and an art class catastrophe. Through these trials, our little heroes will learn the mistakes of the past, the power of apologizing, and staying focused on the task at hand. Recess meets Marvel’s X-men in this new, fun, action-packed series.

80-100My Why:
For most of my childhood, I felt very powerless. I lost one of my parents when I was very young and my other parent didn't want to be one. I learned to escape through reading, especially graphic novels, the library became my fortress of solitude. During recess, I'd pretend to be a superhero on an asphalt school playground that provided zero entertainment. Kids thought I was funny because I'd make up superheroes and tell them about their adventures. That's when I realized my superpower was storytelling! That's why I created JUE, to make something that will get kids reading for fun, an escape when needed, to learn some lessons and maybe someday, they'll want to tell their own superhero stories.
