Super Stinky Feet Girl
Stella Greenway is born with super stinky feet— feet that smell of rotting frogs and sour milk. Her parents hope she’ll grow out of it, but… she doesn’t. The stench overpowers soaps and perfumes, and it certainly doesn’t help Stella make any friends. So when her brother Scotty is born with “boogeritis,” a permanent condition that blocks his sense of smell, Stella gets a sibling and best friend all at once. Then Stella is tormented at school by notorious bully and vegetable hater, Warren Spitznoggle, aka supervillain General Vegicide. But it’s not till Warren targets Scotty, that Stella discovers the true powers of her SUPER stinky feet.

I’ve always had super stinky (and sweaty) feet. They’re nowhere near as bad as Stella’s, but it’s still embarrassing. One time my mom bought me special shoe deodorant and my feet turned it into suds. I also love characters whose flaws are their strengths and who find value and power in being different. Somehow these two aspects came together in my mind to create a superhero whose power is her super stinky feet. In addition, I wanted to include themes of friendship and love between siblings, rather than conflict. My brother and I sometimes fought, but more often we played well together, and I stuck up for him when he was bullied. It always warms my heart to read about brothers and sisters sticking together.
