Being the new kid in school can be tough.
Not to mention you've just moved to town and your new school is a PRISON!
Welcome to the turbulent times of ten year old Brick Brophy as he starts his first day at The Pennington Elementary for Excellence. When a run in with the school bully lands him and two other inmates in detention they're tasked with cleaning out the schools notoriously filthy (and haunted) basement. When they discover a ghost amongst the debris they learn of the legend of the KuKu. An evil witch haunting the school that might be to the source of all their problems.
Join Brick and company as they race to find the KuKu and stop her from turning their after school detention into a life sentence.

My Why:
Because I LOVE comics!
Because less than a year ago my oldest daughter (10) came home, threw her school bag down and screamed "ARGH! SCHOOL IS LIKE A PRISON!" And the ideas haven't stopped coming.
Because as a father of two wonderful girls there's nothing I want more than to create a compelling story they can't put down. I want to invite readers into an extraordinary world where I entertain, educate and inspire them through a diverse cast of characters that reflect the world we all live in. But with a big twist of optimism.
Because at the end of the day, I love to tell stories. And I would REALLY love to tell this one.
