Twinventions
FRED and FRIDA are twin siblings who love inventing. Each sibling thinks their own approach to inventing and solving problems is the best. Fred is spontaneous, laid-back, and likes to create inventions that are unpredictable and fun, whereas Frida is methodical, passionate, and her inventions always work exactly as intended. When an invention contest is announced, the two go head-to-head. They know only one can win the coveted grand prize, and when things go a little haywire, Fred and Frida realize they may just have to turn to each other for help.
TWINVENTIONS is an early midgrade slice of life graphic novel about sibling rivalry, creativity, and collaboration.

My goal as a creator is to craft stories that will spark creativity and encourage kids to see the value in collaboration. My characters are inspired from the fact that I have a twin brother who is one minute older than me, so there was plenty of (friendly) competition going around. As an educator, I love seeing a kid’s eyes light up when they make a discovery of their own. For that reason, I wanted to create a story that celebrates creativity and makes kids smile.

I am a Taiwanese American author/illustrator living in California and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I bring a point of view informed by a deep appreciation for art, technology, culture, and wildlife. In all my work, I aim to inspire a sense of fun, freedom, and hope. I have been an active member of the SCBWI for the past four years. TWINVENTIONS would be my traditional publishing debut and I’m also excited about picture books to middle grade illustration projects.
