It’s no secret children emphatically respond to visual story telling. I’ve crafted a graphic novel with humor and heart, but at its core examines deep topics and promotes disability and diversity inclusion as standard operating procedure. As a former pediatric nurse and now mum of an autistic child, disability and diversity inclusion is not just a hot topic, it is our every-day journey. My aim is to not only to depict disabled and diverse characters for representation, but to show their value and worth in any world they inhabit.
