I Goblin
On Ben’s 12th birthday he receives an unexpected present. His father, who abandoned his family many years ago, signed a magical contract forcing Ben to join the Goblin army in the faerie world. Before he can figure out how to break the contract Ben is thrown under the whips of goblin commanders and then tossed into the jaws of an army of monsters that are devouring the whole faerie land. But are the monsters really as bad as the goblins claim? With help from a kindly old wizard, and a gang of faerie misfits, Ben must solve the mystery of his missing father and figure out the truth behind this war.

I Goblin is a coming of age story about how things aren’t always what they seem. The good and the bad. Ben’s journey of seeing only the surface level of the people and things around him is something I do, it’s something we all do. We all need a few goblins in our lives to help us discover a better version of ourselves. I made this comic to help me and others ponder and explore the world around us. Comics are the perfect medium to tell such a story because in our culture comics are often overlooked but are a treasure trove of rich stories, art, and wisdom we can all benefit from. Plus I love drawing robots, sneaky goblins, strange monsters and people living among them.
