Why this story? This story is what my younger self would have wanted to read and always gravitated towards. I've always wanted to read something with aliens and something with adventure. What I feel is different about this book; that I didn't get with others as a child is the connection to everyday life as well. Going through school problems, going through some of the same family dynamics that I was struggling with, etc. and was all just focused on the adventure of taking the main human character out of their world. Here, I have taken the alien robot out of his world and brought him to earth for my main character Erin to deal with through her everyday life.
