My Why:
Sometimes, we must become more than our destiny to be who we were meant to be. I grew up up watching movies and reading books starring the rebels and underdogs. Star Wars, The Goonies, Ella Enchanted, Dealing with Dragons, Wild Magic, and many other works inspired me to keep writing about those hearts. They exist in all of us. When we face hardship or go against the grain it’s important to have those stories in our pockets to remember others (even if they are fictional) standing up for what’s right no matter the odds.
