As a child of the Caribbean, I have always loved the creepy and outlandish folktales passed down through the generations. As an adult, I want to explore those stories further, deconstructing them to their roots and building them back up again.
Trinidad and Tobago is THE proverbial melting pot when it comes to its many cultures. Each folklore originates in places beyond its shores, and I will be exploring how they all intermingle to become something bigger than themselves.
I will introduce the world to Trinidad & Tobago‘s rich culture through the lens of its oldest stories and play in the toybox that is its many blended traditions while telling a captivating story that can only be told on its shores.
