The Carer
In a wordless hybrid picture book, the readers are invited to follow the dangerous and, somehow also comical journey of an anthropomorphized fox who seems to be carrying a very important package in the shape of a box.
Not sure where it is going and why, the readers do know that the package is very important to the main character as it fights off previously feared monsters and complicated traps, so it never loses it or lets it be damaged. We find out at the end that it is not the content of the box that matters, but the surprising mission the fox has taken as its own.

32My Why:
I’m very passionate about visual storytelling and I created “The Carer” as an outlet outside my picture book client work to have a project to play, have fun and experiment.
My first idea was to create a story around a character who would have to face many different scenarios and layouts fun to illustrate while also telling a story that was compelling to me. I’m also very passionate about writing stories with “empathy” in their main theme and “The Carer” is centered around it.
