Mack and Mochi
Series Premise
Mack is a boy with a big imagination and Mochi (named after Mack’s favorite Japanese treat) is his Corgi who just wants to dig up some fun. Together, they have all kinds of adventures while out hunting for “treasures.”
Book 1: Mack and Mochi Find a Kitty
Mack packs his little red wagon for a treasure hunt. Mochi is happy to come along (though he’d be just as happy staying home and playing catch). Mack finds all kinds of treasures -- elf hats (those are just acorn tops, thinks Mochi), a fairy wing (just a feather…), a dragon egg (big rock). When Mack mistakes a possum for a lost cat, the two must help “Kitty” find his way home.

Life is full of magical treasures when you have a vivid imagination. I spent many hours as a child chasing baby alligators (lizards) and collecting mermaid fans (seashells). I aged, but my imagination never dimmed. To this day, I wait quietly in my flower garden to catch a glimpse of the magical flying shrimp (AKA Hummingbird hawk-moth).
